HP Deskjet 2360 Printer

I thought this printer was too good to be true since it sold for about the price of a printer cartridge. It has exceeded our expectations. It produces a perfect copy for all our work, home, church needs. Highly recommend it.
I pitched my Epson 64 right out the door after getting the HP 2360 Printer. Now I can affored to buy both ink and paper.
I have been using the HP2360 for several months and is has been very
reliable. The print cartridges don't cost an arm & a leg either. Different settings for performance/speed are available too.
I love it... works great. Fast print speed, easy to set up. Good price, too.
the quality is good, but the ink seem to little, I just use it about 2 month before it's empty.
I originally bought this to replace a discontinued line of HP printers, namely the 3320 series. What I liked about this series was that it took up very little surface space, while still printing in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it was out-dated, no longer had technical support and so needed a new printer to take its place.
Searching high and low, I came upon a similar looking series by HP that may have been more bulky but still sat on top of my low narrow bookshelf without drawing much space to itself. It prints superbly though the buyer must be aware of the option that, while printing, the pages go backward (i.e. page 10, page 9,etc) so that page 1 is on top. For those that like to double-side their pages by printing odd then even pages, it may confuse you. I recommend either learning the pattern or going into Print Properties each time to disable the feature so the pages print ending "Back to Front".
Very easy to install and quietly does its job!
I am very happy with this product.
Easy to hook up, loading drivers takes about 40 minutes. Works well with both XP and Win 2000. Very good quality color prints. Life of the cartridges , I dont know yet. So far we have printed only 20-30 prints.
This is a nice, inexpensive, fairly quiet, easy to load printer that does what it says. It prints! It was sort of cheap and seems to do well on ink. We don't use it all that often but it seems to be ready when we do. All and all, a nice little printer.
What this printer does is print good quality copies.
What it doesn't do is offer any sort of long term operation that won't cost the user a fortune. The ink jet cartridges are so small that when I first took one out of the box I thought it was a joke. Along with that, that "economical" printer gives the user no way to adjust intensity of copy. I guess HP wouldn't want to slow sales on those inkjet cartridges.
In short, if you value your money and plan to make more than a copy or two a month, you probably can't afford this printer. Did I mention that the cartridges aren't even available from the secondary market/cartridge refillers so you will pay top dollar?
I got a "more expensive" laser printer (I almost never print color) which is amazing and economical. Long term. Loving it, saving $.
If you are somewhat limited on space, this is the printer for you! Although small in size, it is big on quality. The copies are clear and dark. We don't make a huge amount of copies, using it mostly for school projects and household printing; this printer has been perfect for us.
I've got this printer for quite a while and haven't had any issues with it.
It's reasonably fast for low and residencial use, the printing quality is very good and it's lightweight and compact.
I expected less from this product, but it's a nice printer.
Recommended.
This printer was recommened by a geek at Fry's Electronics for use with my traveling business laptop. Lightweight, prints excellent and very inexpensive. An excellent choice.
the printing quality is very good and the printing speed is good as well. i am very glad i opted for this printer.
This printer is a piece of junk. The print mechanism is constructed of flimsy plastic so that unless care is taken in inserting the print cartridges, the mechanism is likrly to be damaged. Like other HP printers operating under XP, it is almost impossible to cancel a pring job in case of a problem ( e.g. paper jam, paper out). Cancelling a print job results in a "deleting document message" which remains until printer is disconnected (you can turn it off under these circumstances) and computer is rebooted. Often XP hangs up and the computer must be poered off withexiting windows properly which results in a long diskcheck on repowering. I have long had this problem with an older HP model, but had hoped they had corrected this problem in their software by now, but alas.... The crown of it all is the life of the ink cartridge. The tricolor cartridge, costing about $18 at Wal-Mart, lasts for about 12 8 x 10 photos before the ink low warning comes up.
In sumarry: Don't buy this printer whatever the price. It would probably be wise to avoid HP inexpensive printers altogether.
This printer's condition is great, and the shipping is fast.
I bought this printer a month ago when thinking about a new computer. Before I was ready to do so my old printer ran out of ink. It was a Lexmark 605 which was a great printer, but the ink cost more than a new printer. This printer is easy to install & makes great copies. It seems to use ink rather rapidly if the indicators are accurate which is says they may not be. Then I bought a new computer with Windows Vista. I've yet to find any of my programs which are compatible, & this printer is no exception. I contacted HP & was told I would be notified when a corrected CD becomes available. I was directed to a website where I was told I could download a program which might help. It didn't, freaked out my computer, & was told it was being deleted to prevent damage to computer. I'm back to using old computer to print. Update: I did eventually get this to work after help from HP. The download took nearly 3 hours as my rural area in just getting high speed internet. If you had high speed no doubt this would be easier. Part of my problem may have been caused by local internet provider which cuts off downloads which are to long. HP tech support is better than most.
We just got this in the mail, as our old one finally croaked. this is a good printer, for an excellent price and produces good quality documents. i chose it for its durability, low price, resolution and low price of ink cartridges. works great for my needs of printing recipes, ebay shipping labels, and occasional resumes. cool little feature is a window that shows ink levels before printing a document
my reason for 4 stars is that it only has the dummy lights with no little screen to tell you what's wrong. if something is, its either a guessing game of pushing different buttons, looking frantically through the manual or calling my IT Tech husband and acting like a whiny customer. :)
so far, the above situation has occurred only once, and what hubby did was turn off the queue on the computer that stores the documents before printing them. this way, there's no lag time/delay and docs print right away.
all in all, love this guy! definitely a good buy!
I bought this printer for my wife to keep on her nighttable when the old Epson printer she had ran out of ink. I priced new cartridges, thought about the slow speed of the printer she was using, and then decided to just chuck the old printer and buy this HP printer for 49 bucks. Of course, it came with two new ink cartridges to boot! I always use HP printers in my work and have found them to last long and provide consistent, reliable output. So far this little cheapie hasn't disappointed. It was easy to set up, easy to get it to work on my wife's unfortunate Windoze laptop (I use Macs almost exclusively), it's faster and produces better output quality than that nasty old Epson.
I think I'll keep her!
My wife, that is. And we'll keep the printer, too!
Overall, I'm very pleased with this printer. It was inexpensive and it is extremely reliable. I bought it to use for making colored flyers and I have made several hundred so far with only one paper jam (easily fixed). The print quality and the color reproduction are excellent.
The only feature I was not entirely satisfied with is the speed. It was advertised as printing 14 pages per minute in color; it actually takes 30 to 45 seconds to print a full page.
I thought this would be just be an average printer but the quality is very good. A great basic printer for printing documents and photos. I was surprised by the speed. It is very compact and small so it will fit anywhere. My favorite part is that you can remove the blank media and close up the printer between uses. This keeps out dust that can ruin printer gears and clog up ink nozzles. This really is helpful in the long run because you will be surprised how much dust can get inside a printer. This printer doesn't print photos as good as the expensive models but it comes close. Using the HP 58 ink, I couldn't really tell a difference. The printer comes with the HP 21 (black) and HP 22 (Tri-color) cartridges. If you want to print photos with maximum quality, it accepts the HP 58 photo ink
On the average this product is definitely above average. It was easy to assemble, it allows me to see just how much ink I'm using, gives me a cancel button, which saves ink; and will remind when it's time to purchase new cartridges. The only thing I criticize is it doesn't seem to print web pages. Maybe I'm doing wrong.
I am really enjoying my copier. I have a very small space and it fits right in. It was extremely easy to install and operate. I did not have any problems. The only thing is that the ink is very expensive. Otherwise, I would have given it a higher rating.
Has anyone used this printer with the new Vista OS? I just bought a HP computer/ monitor/ printer package and the printer (hp photosmart d5069) has been giving me so much trouble. Not sure if it has anything to do w/ Vista or not. i have tried to fix the problem but its going no where. So, i was searching around for another printer as i'm thinking I may need to return the photosmart one, and this one seems like what I'm looking for. I order most of my pictures online, so I don't really need one w/ too many photo printing capabilities. i print mostly text and graphics. So if anyone could give me any insight, i'd appreciate it.
Thank you,
Joanna
Great printer. It prints fast, it's small and lightweight, it's easy to set up, and easy to network.
My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a USB cable; you have to supply your own USB B cable. They are fairly common, so it's not a huge problem.
it may not have all the component a all in one printer has but it sure does the job. it is a reasonable printer for what you are paying for, good speed when printing documents and reports. ok when printing in color. I was surpriced when i printed a picture. over all this is a good small printer to have.
This printer has only one that i can see so far. When you have it set to print on super speed, it shakes so much it gets itself off track and spits the paper out so fast that it only does like 3 at a time.
Regular printing time is very quick though and of high quality. I'm glad i bought this
It's a great, compact printer for a good price. Also, the ink this printer uses is pretty cheap and widely available.
This is a very nice printer for the money. Easy to hook up. Just what I need for my home.

My wife needed a printer that woiuld fit in her compuer desk and it had to be one that fed the blank paper fron the front instead of the top back. This printer has such a low profile that it would fit just about anywhere you wanted to put a printer. Above and beyond its low profile it is an excellent printer for text and low-end graphics.
